He gently pushed Lilly away from him and ignored Yuuki's apology. He turned without a word and walked towards the nearest staircase and disappeared up them, heading for the roof. When he got there, he closed the door and walked over to the edge, staring over the city. He looked down at all the zombies walking around as his heart sank. 'I can't protect anyone...'

Lilly jumped and held her brother tighter when she heard a gunshot. She looked up as her brother pushed her away and held her hands to her chest. "Nii-san..." She covered her eyes after her brother walked over and started crying softly.

Mizuki was just as surprised as Kazuha was and looked down. 'Poor Souske...' She looked back up and towards the direction the gun shot came from and sighed. "It would've been nice to say goodbye to him. I wish he would've told us at least..." He watched as Kazuha left, then walked over and wrapped her arms around Lilly. She closed her eyes and held her niece close. "Kazu has lost so much as it is. His parents, his wife and children, now his brother...I can't even imagine how he feels right now...I wouldn't be surprised if he just wanted to give up after this..."

Suki breathed a sigh when she heard the gun shot and decided not to butt in to their problems. She turned and walked into the furniture store and laid down, feeling like it was partially her fault for not being able to prevent it from happening. She rolled onto her side and closed her eyes, thinking to herself.

"I... I... I don't know Sou-kun... I'll just have to get over it somehow I guess..." Karu said as she held Souske's hand when he drapped his arm around her shoulders and helped him keep his balance. "I really wish there was a way to reverse things..." She said outloud as they got farther and farther into the mall.

Shojo sat up when he heard the door open and close and noticed that Kazuha was there. He stood up and walked over to him. "Hey, Kazuha." He said then felt a a little uneasy when he say the look on his face.

Kyuzo felt really bad for telling him that and looked down, a little depressed. He looked back up when he heard Lilly crying softly and watched as her auntwalked over to her and held her. He walked over to her and held her as well. "I am so sorry, Lilly-chan..."

Yuuki watched as Kazuha left and wasn't sure what to do. She began to tear up a little when she realiuzed he had ignored her and walked back into the furniture store, laying down on one of the beds in the back and pulled the covers over her, thinking of how she was going to make him feel atleast a little better.

Souske wasn't sure how to respond and kept quiet as he started breathing heavily, his breath becoming raspy. He stumbled every once in a while as he walked with her, his eye color starting to fade a little. He smiled a little and closed his eyes when she said that she wished there was a way to reverse things. "Wishful thinking I guess. Kazu said there were scientist working on some kind of way to reverse it, but who knows if they've come up with anything yet..."

Kazuha glanced over at Shojo, then looked back down at the zombies walking around the mall parking lot. He looked down a little more, his hair covering his eyes. "My brother's dead...," he said quietly, sliding his hands into his pockets. He looked back up when he heard shooting in the distance and turned his head in the direction it was coming from, but continued to stay quiet as he listened to the occassional gun fire.

Kaito made a hard right, making his friend in the back stumble and hit the wall of the armored truck. "Sorry bout that! You ok back there?" He asked and smirked when he got a sarcastic answer. He leaned out the window and fired a bullet into a nearby zombie. Not because he had to, just because he was having fun.

Haku stumbled back, hitting his head on the wall. "Oh, fine. Just a minor headache." He grabbed his bag and tried to keep it from moving around so much. "Will you be careful? If my research gets destroyed, I'll kill you. And will you quit wasting ammo!?" He sighed and shook his head. He fell over when the car came to a sudden stop and he got up, rubbing his head as he looked out the front to see where they were.

"Ammo? I'm more worried that we hardly have any food!" Kaito laughed, then hit the breaks and watched in the mirror as Haku fell over and laughed harder. He leaned forward, looking up at the mall. "They might have a gun store. Ya never know. We can resupply and get our asses out of here before too many surround the truck." He reloaded his weapon and chuckled. "Hope you can run like a bitch, cuz I aint waiting for your ass." With that, he got out of the car and ran towards the mall.

Haku glared at Kaito, then sighed. "I'm sure I can..." Before he could finish, Kaito had bailed on him and his eyes widened. "W-WAIT! I DON'T EVEN HAVE A WEAPON!" He adjusted his glasses. "Shit..." Then turned and grabbed his bag and ran out, following Kaito inside the mall. When they got there, he collasped to the floor out of breath. 'I don't think I've ever ran so much in my life...' He lifted his head and looked around. "This place looks pretty secure. I wonder if someone else is staying here?"

"Yeah, that's true..." Karu said as she led Souske into a store. She smiled at him and looked around, seeing if she could find a place to sit him down. She spotted a chair and led him to it, setting him down in it. "I'll be right back." She said as she kissed him on the cheek. She began walking around the tool store, looking for useful items that would restrain Souske. After a little while of searching she found some rope and grabbed it. 'This should do.' She smiled and headed back to where she left Souske.

Shojo's eyes widened when he was told that Souske was dead. "I... I'm so sorry Kazuha..." He said then turned to the sound of gunshots and walked over to the edge of the roof where they were coming from. His eyes lit up a little when he saw two more people running towards the mall. "There's more people coming, Kazu. We should go greet them." He said kind of excitedly then ran off into the mall.

Kaito smirked and shrugged. "Who cares if anyone else is here. I just want to get in and get out, pick up my crew and leave this shit hole." He looked down at Haku. "Now be a good boy and stay out of trouble. Meet me back here in fifteen and don't make me come looking for you," he said and headed up the nearest stairway. As he was walking by a store, he noticed several people sleeping inside. 'Looks like they've got a little community going here. The sooner we leave the...' His eyes widened a little when he spotted Suki. 'That can't be...' He shook his head and ignored it, but as he turned, he noticed someone running towards him and glared at Shojo, pointing his gun at him. "That's far enough kid! What do you want?"

Haku rolled his eyes as he stood up, putting his bag over his shoulder as he looked around for a moment. He sighed and began walking. 'Not like I can really explore the place...' He rubbed his head with his free hand, then adjusted his glasses as he sighed again. He stopped and looked around, spotting a tool shop. 'I lost almost everything back at the lab...I wonder if I could convert some of those tools and continue my research?' He smiled a little and walked into the store. He looked up at each of the shelves as he walked through the isles, not paying any attention to where he was going. As he was turning a corner, he ran into Karu and fell back onto his ass. He held his head as he groaned in pain. "Damn that hurt..." He looked up at Karu and was a little surprised. "I...uh...s-sorry miss. I hope I'm not intruding...my friend and I came for supplies and..." He stopped as he tried to find the words to explain himself for being there.

Kazuha sighed as he watched Shojo leave, then looked down at the truck. 'That's military standard.' He stood there for a moment, then slid his hands into his pockets. 'We're all gonna end up like that eventually. Making friends and getting close just causes more pain in the end...'

When Shojo got down to the second story balcony he noticed the guy that was outside was now inside and began running up to him. His happiness turned to fear once he noticed that he was getting a gun pointed at him for no reason and stopped dead. "T-t-there's no reason for that now." He said then took a few steps back. "There's no reason for violence towards other humans in these times is there? I just wanted to greet you is all." He said then realized that the guy kind of looked like Suki and one of his eyebrows rose. "You look familar. Would you be by any chance Suki's father?"

Yuuki woke up when she heard loud talking and thought that it was Kazu lecturing someone again and sat up, rubbing her eyes. When she turned around she noticed some guy standing there with a gun pointed at someone and her eyes shot open. He hopped off the bed and began walking over to him. "What's going on?" She said as she yawned and rubbed her head. "Why don't don't you put your gun away and we can talk about this."

Karu wasn't paying attention as she walked back to Souskeand was ran into by someone and she fell backwards onto her butt. She lifted to the side a little bit and rubbed it saying, "Ow ow ow..." She looked up when he apologized and smiled. "It's alright. Don't worry about it, you're not intruding." She got up and brushed her ass off. She looked at him for a second then spoke. "Are you a doctor? Because if you are you might be able to help my boyfriend."

Kaito smirked at Shojo's scared reaction. "Greet me? Sorry kid, but I'm not the social type. Just keep your distance and I'll be out of here before you know it." He lowered his gun and turned his head when he heard another voice, looking at Yuuki from head to toe. Before he could comment on how she looked, he turned his head back to Shojo in surprise to his question. He sighed, resting his gun on his shoulder and turning his head to look back in the store at his daughter. "I figured she'd be able to handle herself. She was one of my best marksman." He then turned his attention back to Yuuki and leaned over so he was eye level with her with a flirtatious smirk. "Hey there sexy. Hows about you and I ditch these guys and go have some fun?" He chuckled to Kazuha's comment and turned to him. "No need to use that kind of tone. As your little friend there said, no need to get hostile towards those that are still alive."

Kazuha walked down to the second floor and noticed Shojo and the man talking, then saw Yuuki come out, but couldn't hear anything they were saying. As he got closer though, he heard what Kaito had said to Yuuki and glared at him as he stopped next to Shojo. "Lay one hand on her and I'll blow your fucking head off. I'm in a bad enough mood as it is." He didn't really react to Kaito's comment, just stayed quiet as he took a puff off a cigarette he had lit on the way down there.

Haku nodded and stood up, brushing himself off and picking up his bag. "Now hopefully my friend doesn't cause any problems. He can be kind of a dick." As he was fixing his coat, he looked at her when she asked if he was a doctor. "Well, not exactly...but I do have medical knowledge. What's wrong with your boyfriend?" He asked and smiled, but his smiled faded a little when she answered him and rubbed his head with a sigh. "I'll see what I can do, but I'm gonna need your help and paitience. Understand? He's not gonna react well to some of the stuff I'll be giving him. How far along is he?" He asked as he began following her back to Souske.

One of Yuuki's eyebrows rose when Kaito made his comment and slowly grew a disgusted look on her face. "I don't think so bub." She turned to Kazuha when she heard his comment and smiled. 'Well I better go back to bed before I get caught up in anything that could that could potentially get someone killed.' She waved at Shojo and Kazuha then turned around and went back into the store, laying down onto one of the beds and quickly falling back to sleep.

"Well why don't you atleast say hi to your daughter or something? I know she'd probably be glad to see you." Shojo said a little while after Kazuha made his remark. He waved at Yuuki and yawned. "Well if you need me I'll be on the roof." He turned to Kazuha and smiled. He walked back off towards the stairs to the roof.

Kaur nodded to his question and smiled. "I'm not to sure how far along he is. He's breathing really heavily and can barely walk, if that gives you any idea of how far along he is..." She looked down and rubbed her arm. When they got to Souske she smiled at him and walked over to him, giving him a hug. "I found someone that might be able to help you, Sou-kun." She said with a loving smile then back up a few feet so Haku could examin him.
