A crime has been committed. A young girl has been accused of murder. She manages to come up with the bail to get out of jail til her court date in a few weeks. No one believes her, except one. A detective comes to her doorstep when all hope seems lost. He believes someone else did it. Someone he had been chasing for a long time. But this detective has his own dark past. Can he manage to clear her name and capture the true culprit before it's too late? Or will someone discover his past and use it against him?

The detective must try to survive this.

Each clue he gathers, he witness he interviews, he puts himself in more danger...

Biography: Kiyoshi has always been one to think outside the box. He had been tracking down a murderer since he became a detective at eighteen and it has been the only case he hasn't cracked. His father is the chief of police in this town where he grew up. Typically, he gets away with more snooping and obtaining information thanks to his father's status.

When he was sixteen, he commited his own crime. His girlfriend was a law student like himself. She wound up dead after they were together almost a year and he was found with her blood on his hands. His father, knowing what his son wanted to become someday, closed the case and turned a blind eye. The file still remains hidden away under lock and key in the chief's office showing his son as a 'suspect' in the murder, but not the convicted. There is even a case on the trial he went to hidden in that file. The story became silenced. But, even now, Kiyoshi is worried that will be used against him someday. The trial was never finished and he was never able to clear his name himself.

Emotionally, he can get attached to his clients. That could also be a factor in getting him kicked off a case. He relates to them and only takes murder cases. For some reason, only ones that have been falsly accused. But chasing this killer, could cost him his life if he slips up. There can't be any mistakes. Not this time.

He always seems to have a distant look in his eye. He doesn't look like a detective even. At least, not your typical one. Sure, he wears a suit and tie. And sometimes he acts older than he actually is. But, something about him when he's lost in thought, and you see that distant gaze, sets him apart from your everyday detective. It's almost entrancing...entoxicating even. The only reason he's known is because of his father.

Kiyoshi learned to play the piano at a young age. His mother had taught him before she passed when he was eight. He is not a fan of animals, especially dogs. A bad experience as a child made sure of that. He doesn't fear them, just hates them to no end. (A lot of this information in his bio can be used against him depending on how far the officer or criminal wants to snoop into his past.)

Biography: Hayate is Kanade's teacher. He was also Kiyoshi's teacher back in the day. He's lived in this town all his life and has connections with the police, never making him a suspect in any of the cases his students have been involved in. Kiyoshi, however, seems to be snooping around a bit much. He has a thing for Harumi and makes it known whenever he sees her. He likes a girl with spunk and plays hard to get.

Biography: Seiki is Kanade's classmate and friend. She mainly stays as a neutral party. Being apart of the school newspaper, she is always looking for a good story and will badger people til she get answers. She's the type to poke her nose where it doesn't belong...and it could get her into more trouble than she bargained for.

Biography: Seiki's older brother and was Hikaru's best friend since childhood. He doesn't know what to believe. He gets more involved later in the story. He mainly sticks to himself, but whenever he sees Kanade, he gets pissed off. Apart of him believes she did kill his friend. He treats her like shit when he sees her now and used to be so nice. He is also in the same class as them. He keeps an eye on Kanade. If something happens to his younger sister, he'll make sure she wont get away with it.

As a spoiler, Seiki and Suko will be involved to a point, but wont get very far in their search. Hikaru was the boy found dead and he had a thing for Kanade, but he never got the chance to tell her his feelings. The reason she was accused was because the night he was murdered, he went to see her and never returned home. More about it will be revealed at the beginning.
